James Liu

James is the co-founder and Managing Director of FranChina Limited, a China-based franchise advisory & franchisee recruitment firm. Since late 1990s when starting his franchising career, James has over 10 years experience as a renowned professional within the franchise, retail, restaurant, hospitality and service industries of China. His outstanding and efficient work has made FranChina build a very successful track record in assisting international franchisors’ expansions into the China market.

While writing numerous articles on franchising in China, James is a frequent speaker at franchise conferences and has been broadly interviewed, quoted, and cited in the Chinese franchise community. In the meantime, as one of the best franchise lawyers in China, James had ever involved in and contributed significantly to the Chinese

franchise legislation.

In 1996 and 2000, James obtained his LLM in Capital University of Economy & Business, and EMBA in Peking University. James is the standing committee member of China Chainstore & Franchise Association and the candidate for the prestigious
 ‘Certified Franchise Executive’ designation from the International Franchise Association.
